Chocolate Nougat Crunch

Ok, here I go AGAIN! I promise I will finish this damn Ben & Jerry’s Experiment, even if it kills me. I went ahead and grabbed a flavor for next week as well. Trying not to fall off the journey once more, let’s try our best.

Chocolate Nougat Crunch:

Currently not a damn memory comes to mind with ANY one ingredient in this flavor. What I can tell you is this: I have had the flavor when it originally came out, but I never had time to write a review about it. I haven’t seen it after that until today. I guess it was a sign to restart.

Sweet Cream Ice Cream with Fudge Covered Wafer Cookies & a Chocolate Nougat Swirl

This time around I have to say, I enjoyed it more than the first time. I don’t remember too much about the flavor, except the fact that I didn’t like the Fudge Covered Wafer Cookies. Guess what? I still don’t! I do wonder at times where the visionaries at Ben & Jerry’s get their big ideas to add these odd bites to such a great mixture of flavors. I have to say the sweet cream ice cream with the chocolate nougat swirl is a great mix. Then they have to go and add in that fudge covered wafer cookie. I like fudge and wafer cookies, but once put in the pint of already amazing flavors it just doesn’t sit well with me.

I am giving this a middle ground rating because it does have two positives to the flavor as a whole. I do have to say, just because something has a check mark against it doesn’t mean it deserves anything less than your best. So I don’t like the Nougat, but everything else this flavor brings is outstanding. Life is about picking and choosing which dislikes to battle and honestly, I’m not fighting this one. If you can find this in your freezer section I would say give it a swirl. Just because it doesn’t work 100% for me it doesn’t mean it won’t for you.

Phish Food

Before I had intentions of moving back East I bought a stash of Ben & Jerry’s. I was unable to taste all the pints before I left, so one night my sisters and I just dove into some of the flavors. This was one of the flavors that was lingering in the freezer. I have had this before, but this is the first time for a review.

Phish Food Verdict:

Whenever caramel comes in a flavor I ALWAYS think of my little sister, Juliann, and her addiction to caramel. If you follow the blog you know this isn’t the first time I have mentioned this. But a memory is a memory and they last. I have been living off memories as of late, but I am hoping to make some new ones shortly that may be Ben & Jerry’s worthy.

Chocolate Ice Cream with Gooey Marshmallow Swirls, Caramel Swirls & Fudge Fish

Since this wasn’t a surprise flavor for me when I popped that lid I just thought to myself…I remember liking Phish Food, but I honestly couldn’t remember why I liked it so much, now I remember. It’s damn good! I love chocolate so it’s no surprise with the first flavor being chocolate ice cream this would be any different. Gooey Marshmallow has always been a tough ingredient for me to like over the years. But maybe it’s the advancement in my pallet, but I have come to enjoy marshmallow in my ice cream. Can you imagine how much ice cream I have turned down in my days because of that one ingredient? The caramel was perfect with the chocolate ice cream, and for the fudge fish, can I just take them all in a little bag and just eat them? Please Ben & Jerry’s; can you bag just the fudge pieces?

There isn’t one negative issue with this flavor, for me. If you don’t like chocolate it’s obvious to stay away from this. The mixture of it all is just….PERFECT. There is one thing that I miss though. I miss when I reviewed a flavor and my family was at home waiting for me to bring the flavor of the week home. They helped me have portion size and took the burden from me. I now find myself eating the entire pint throughout the week. Do I have any Rhode Islanders willing to help me with this debacle?

Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch

I had a first this time when I went to the grocery store. I thought I was bad at picking a flavor. This time around there were two other people there, the guy got in and got out (that’s what she said), the woman, well that’s a different story. This woman was literally diving through the freezer trying to find different flavors. I was there for about five minutes trying to figure out what I wanted. I literally had to almost step on her and reach over and grab my pint as she was scavenging through the bottom shelf. Needless to say, she was still there when I departed. PICK A FLAVOR WOMAN!

Vanilla Heath Bar Crunch Verdict:

No real stories come from Heath Bars for me, except I like them.

Vanilla Ice Cream with Chunks of Heath® Bar

I’m not going to lie; the “chunks” in the description scared me a bit because we all know how Ben & Jerry’s use their chunks in flavors, sometimes by over powering and clearly taking chunky too literally. Well I am glad to report that they did have chunks in the simple vanilla ice cream, and I enjoyed them. I don’t think simple could possibly describe the vanilla ice cream used. I’m not a big fan of vanilla ice cream because I can at times find them too boring and uninteresting to my taste buds. Something about the vanilla recipe they use is just PERFECT. I don’t want to go too much into it because they do just have vanilla that I still need to taste.

My only negative is….wait for it… not chunky enough. I felt that I wanted more chunks or more bites of Heath Bar in each bite. What can I say? My ice cream preferences change as often as my preferences in guys. You have to tackle each with time and patience. And obviously not judge a “flavor” by their “description”.

Raspberry Fudge Chunk

Yes, I am giving the Greek selection another shot! Not that I had too much of a choice, they are flavors, and I must try them all. While standing and reviewing what options I had to choose from I looked upon the “Greek” selection and thought, what the hell, might as well get them over with. Thankfully there are only four. After this, I will be half way done.

Raspberry Fudge Chunk Verdict:

When it comes to raspberries I don’t really have a defining memory of the flavor. But I do have a favorite yogurt flavor and you guessed it, raspberry! So, as long as I can remember I always searched for that flavor when stocking the refrigerator. And of course, it has to be Yoplait.

Raspberry Greek Frozen Yogurt with Fudge Chunks

YAY! That was my first reaction when I took my first bite. After the disaster of the first Greek flavor I was VERY hesitant to the remainder of this selection from Ben & Jerry’s. Ben and Jerry are known for going over board from time to time with the ingredients in their pints, which sometimes are a success and others, a failure. I am glad that they took the approach of simplicity. I have said it many times before, sometimes the simple things in life are the best. This flavor is perfect! The taste of the sweet raspberry flavor with the mix of the bitterness of the chocolate chunks is superb. Do note I said CHUNKS! They didn’t skimp on that part. I don’t always like their chunks, but this time I do.

What I like most is that I can completely see myself enjoying a scoop or two of this flavor while sitting on the deck on a cool summers evening. Ben & Jerry, you have redeemed yourself with this flavor. I know there are two more flavors in this series. Please don’t let me down, again! I don’t know how long the Greek flavors will be out there, so if you don’t want to miss out on a great pint, go get is now!

Key Lime Pie

When new flavors come out I am usually on top of it. This time I didn’t see this one coming. When I was scoping through the freezer section I came across this NEW flavor. Let me restate that, limited batch flavor. Since it was the first time I heard/seen the pint I had to pick it up.

Key Lime Pie Verdict:

Normally this is the section where I go down memory lane with the flavor of the week. Well, I have no memories that revolve around Key Lime ANYTHING. I am not a big fan of key lime, so I tend to stay away from it all together.

Lime Ice Cream with a Tangy Lime Twist, Fluffy Meringue Swirl & Pie Crust Swirls

From the previous paragraph you know I am not a fan of this flavor. But, I am going to try and not be bias against my distain for key lime and review this from the aspect of objectiveness. So here we go.

The flavoring in this pint is overwhelming! It’s tangy, twisty and fluffy. The lime is not too over powering and the meringue; well that’s the sweet spot. The more you let the ice cream melt the more meringue texture it becomes. I am not saying I will be searching this pint out again, but the true victory in the trio is hands down the Fluffy Meringue Swirl. The Pie Crust Swirls again were a perfect kick it needed. And we all know that I love my pie crust in a majority of the flavors they have been in so far. I am rating this from a non-bias point of view and allowing room for others and their preferences. Yes, I can think of others from time to time.

Blueberry Vanilla Graham

This past week I had to become accustomed to an entirely different grocery store. I found the freezer section and then scoped out what the different prospects were for the flavor of the week. The most difficult task was trying not to eat the ice cream before Friday. Since we went to the grocery store on Sunday, we had to keep it out of side, out of mind for the week.

Blueberry Vanilla Graham Verdict:

If you don’t already know my blueberry story, I can’t help you. But since I was lucky enough to have a repeat this year I will give you a quick rundown of the events. I met my friend, James, up in Vermont again this year when I was traveling the New England states. Our thing is and will always be, blueberry pancakes. We met exactly one year later to the day and had our blueberry pancakes again. We sat in the same booth and had an annoying child in the booth behind us, again. Sometimes you only need once a year traditions like this to make a friendship last. Until next year.

Blueberry and Vanilla Greek Frozen Yogurts with a Graham Cracker Swirl

For this being my first Greek frozen yogurt flavored treat of theirs I wasn’t wooed at all. With 3 more Greek flavors to go, I hope they picked up their game. The only attribute that stood out in the flavor was the graham cracker swirl. The blueberry FroYou is as bland and boring as unsweetened iced tea. For me I will never get this flavor again. The only issue now is who will eat it? Not that we have an addiction in this household, but we don’t need to add anymore pints to our own freezer selection that we already have. Yes, short review because I don’t ever want to think about this flavor EVER again.

Cake Batter

*Please note: This flavor was tasted and reviewed a few months back. It sat in my archives until today. I have one more flavor that I tasted and reviewed at an earlier time as well. That will be posted soon.

Once again I found myself in the “home freezer” section picking out the flavor of the week. Early in the week my co-worker made me smell one of her lip-glosses that smelt like cake batter. So I found it only appropriate to have cake batter this week.

Cake Batter Verdict:

Thinking of cake batter memories I don’t think I have any. If I can recall on the cake batter craze, I don’t think it hit until my teenage years. When I go to an undisclosed ice cream facility I always get cake batter with brownies and graham crackers crumbs. Yum!

Yellow Cake Batter Ice Cream with a Chocolate Frosting Swirl

Honestly, I was expecting more cake batter flavor than they offered in this pint. I think my opinion of cake batter was based on that undisclosed place. But had I read the description of the flavor before I ate it, I would have been ready. I have to say, even with the surprise, I did enjoy this flavor. You can completely taste the yellow cake and chocolate frosting swirl. The mix of the two made you feel like you were out on a warm summer night eating cake. I think that’s more of the feel they were going for here, and not the actual cake batter. We did a census and all we were missing was a sugar gone. So next week I will be investing in sugar cones for our ice cream pleasures.

If you like yellow cake with chocolate frosting I would recommend this flavor. And look at it like this…You can eat your cake and ice cream and not feel too guilty. It’s a two for one deal. Sign me up!

Chocolate Therapy

First and foremost I want to apologize for my LONG absence from the Ben & Jerry's blog. As most of you all know the last few months have been a little hectic crazy with the decision to jump from the West Coast to the East Coast. Now that I am settled in and on track with things out here, it's time I get back on track to this journey.

Before my parents flew back home we went grocery shopping to load up on some essentials. Well, somethings never change and I ventured in the freezer section. HOLY CRAP there's the newest flavor that I have yet to find in Cali. You bet I grabbed that sucker up and decided that this will be the "inaugural" flavor to kick us off again. Now that my living situation is with my cousin Michelle, I don't trust her and my Ben & Jerry's. My Euphori-Lock traveled with me, and I locked up the pint until it was tasting time. But I was nice enough to let her indulge in the tasting with me.

Chocolate Therapy Verdict:

I have always said there are two items I turn to when I am stressed... 1) Jack & Coke... 2) Chocolate, preferably dark chocolate. Let's just say, I found my new item when in need of some good ole therapy.

Chocolate Ice Cream with Chocolate Cookies & Swirls of Chocolate Pudding Ice Cream

How can I easily explain this pint? An orgasm in your mouth....OH MY! I'm a chocolateholic and this satisfied every need I had. If one isn't a chocolate fan I would stay away, but if you couldn't figure that out in the title I couldn't' help you. What I love most about the flavor is that you can taste every aspect of chocolate put in the pint. The chocolate cookies are perfectly portioned throughout and the chocolate pudding ice cream, AMAZING. I want Ben & Jerry's to just package that alone. So Ben & Jerry's if you're listening to me, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD, package just the chocolate pudding ice cream.

Basically, you should all run to your nearest store and pick up this pint. If you're unable to locate you can go to Ben&Jerry's.com and use their flavor locator to find it in a grocery store near you.

Chocolate Fudge Brownie

When I went out to the freezer to grab from my “stash” I already had the flavor in mind that I was going to pluck for my tasting pleasures. Well, when I opened the freezer I didn’t see the flavor I was looking for. I counted the remaining pints and the correct amounts were there. I then realized I totally thought I bought a flavor that I obviously didn’t DAMN!

Chocolate Fudge Brownie Verdict:

I have to go on bragging again about my mom’s baking. I love brownies, period. But when she makes them, they are honestly the best. It’s the perfect amount of chocolate to ice cream. When we have family dinners we usually end up having that for dessert. And since our birthday is coming up, I think I may suggest that for our dessert. That or apple pie, or possibly both.

Chocolate Ice Cream with Fudge Brownie

CHOCOLATE is the best word to describe this flavor. It’s chocolate upon chocolate, and it was AMAZING. I love chocolate! Now if you have a weak stomach for sweets, DON’T eat this. The chocolate levels will give you a stomachache. I ate more than normal, and had a tummy ache for the remainder of the afternoon. But I don’t really care because the flavor was AMAZING.

Ok, back to the review. The chocolate ice cream was greatly flavored. As for the fudge brownies, I wish I could pick them out and just eat them alone. They brownies weren’t too big and were perfectly portioned throughout the pint. All I can say is, if you’re a chocolate lover get this in those times of need. It will work wonders.

New York Super Fudge Chunk

I am back to my old stunts again this week. I bought 8 pints this past week. They were on sale and I couldn’t pass up a good deal when it occurred. I grabbed my hand basket and walked straight to the freezer section. I literally stood there and took a census of the flavors and contemplated on the ones I needed to get. I was once again looked upon like I was crazy when I piled 8 different cartons of ice cream on the conveyer belt. He already thought I was crazy, so I asked: can you not bag those yet; I want to take a picture.

New York Super Fudge Chunk Verdict:

I’ve never been to New York, so I don’t have knowledge on that city except of what I’ve heard from friends. Honestly didn’t think I would have a memory for this flavor. But once I took the first bite the flashing started. It tasted JUST like Rocky Road, minus the marshmallow. Growing up (and to this day) I didn’t like rocky road, well I thought I didn’t like rocky road. I would always pass on ice cream when my family, full on rocky road lovers would have this flavor. I boycotted it like children boycott broccoli, spinach and Brussels sprouts. I am and always have been a Cookie N’ Cream kind of guy. Damn, I’ve been missing out on what I thought I didn’t like.

Chocolate Ice Cream with White & Dark Fudge Chunks, Pecans, Walnuts & Fudge-Covered Almonds

To all odds, I very much so enjoyed this flavor. I knew what Rocky Road tasted like, because I knew what I didn’t like. And look, I proved myself WRONG! The fudge chunks were perfect. I especially enjoyed the white fudge chunks….yummy. And the pecans, walnuts & fudge-covered almonds were a great combination. Not one component of the ingredients over powered the other. It was a mix that I honestly thought was going to be too much, but like the flavor, it proved me wrong. I do enjoy a good surprise from time to time.

And to my readers who thought I would gain weight during this process, I’ve lost 3.5 inches off my waist in the last three months. SO SUCK IT!

Score:

Rocky Road-ish

I have a confession… We are officially on flavor 37 and this was flavor 28. I tasted it, posted the picture but never reviewed. I apologize! So I bought the flavor again and re-tasted it because I needed to do a true review.

Rocky Road-ish Verdict:

I am trying to figure out where the “ish” is coming from. Is it because there’s toasted marshmallow and fudge covered almonds? If so, it’s like me saying I’m straight because I’ve “ish’d” with a girl before.

Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream with a Toasted Marshmallow Swirl & Fudge Covered Almonds

Even though I don’t believe the name of the flavor should have “ish” in it, I still enjoyed the flavor. Maybe it should have been named something entirely different. But it’s a little too late for that input with the marketing department at Ben & Jerry’s. It was very creamy and could be a tad too sweet for some with the marshmallow swirl in it. But I enjoyed it so much more for that factor. Another perk to this flavor was that the almonds weren’t full almonds. They were more bit size and not overwhelming to the flavor.

I am not going to promise that I won’t fall behind again. But hey, I got to enjoy this flavor twice now. And there’s no complaints coming from me.

You don’t know how happy I got this morning when I walked into Vons. Ben & Jerry’s was FINALLY on sale…. 2 for $6! At least something in this economy is going down. I don’t think I could afford gas and Ben & Jerry’s. And sadly, I would have had to limit my driving.

Dulce Delish Verdict:

This week doesn’t bring back any memory of my own…. but when ever I have something Caramel I always think of my youngest sister, Juliann. She would always get the Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks with EXTRA caramel. There was a time when she became addicted to those things. But we all stepped in and “helped” her.

Rich Caramel Ice Cream with Dark Caramel Swirls

I scream, you scream, we all scream CARA-MEL! I had one concern with this flavor, TOO much caramel. It does say, Rich, right in the name so I worried it would be too rich. Luckily to my surprise it wasn’t over done at all. I found this flavor very smooth and perfectly portioned with Caramel and a side caramel. The after taste of the flavor allows you to just simply enjoy the simplicity of one flavor in two tones. Do I find myself getting this pint in desperate time? No! But I do see myself getting this pint when I just want to relax and enjoy a nice quiet, calm night in.

Bonnaroo Buzz

It’s coming to that time when I have to pick a new grocery store to get my flavors because I am getting limited on my choices at the Vons by my house. The cashier this morning thought I was having Ben & Jerry’s for breakfast. I informed her it was a lunch treat and that I am trying all the flavors. She asked how many there were and I said, so far my list is at 58 and this is my 33rd flavor. She replied… I didn’t know there were that many flavors. I think I have hit the crazy part of the journey….Oh well!

Bonnaroo Buzz Verdict:

I thought I was going to have NO memories of this flavor. Then I took a bite and BAM…memories started flashing back. When I was in Rhode Island last year I was told about this wonderful treat called, Coffee Cabinets from my cousin Dave. Well while I was in Massachusetts with my cousin Jen (his daughter) and her family, they treated me to this magical treat of the coffee cabinet. The mixture of the ice cream tasted JUST like the coffee cabinet I had at this general store that had been there for 100 years+. Well if my memory serves me correct that is. I remember sitting in the general store and my little cousin Luke was sharing his parents, and he was ADDICTED. Even though the name of the “shake” was under debate, Dave won and I will always call it a coffee cabinet.

Coffee & Malt Ice Creams with Whiskey Caramel Swirls & English Toffee Pieces

I have to say that the Coffee & Malt Ice Creams with Whiskey Caramel Swirl would be great just by themselves. You can easily taste the coffee, but it’s not overwhelming. I didn’t taste the whiskey…I am going with the fact they didn’t add enough in the ice cream, and not that I am a alcoholic. The only negative belongs to those English Toffee “Pieces”…. those suckers WERE NOT pieces. Those things were the size of boulders. If they downsized those chunks to pieces, I would be perfectly happy. But then again, if they just removed the toffee pieces I would be even happier.

Even with the one flaw, I am still giving this flavor a full score. Not everything needs to be perfect in order to win me over.

Everything but the...

As I was standing in the freezer section this morning and staring at all the flavors it became all a blur. I could look at some and say…YEP had that one…and then others I just couldn’t tell you if I had them or fantasized about them. I need to make a mini list for my phone so this never happens again. .

Everything but the…Verdict:

I have NO memory recollection for this flavor or any of the contents in it.

A Collision of Chocolate & Vanilla Ice Creams mixed with Peanut Butter Cups Heath Bar Chunks, White Chocolate chunks & Fudged Covered Almonds

This wasn’t just a collision of the above flavors. This is that fiery crash that closes the freeway and causes the onlookers on the opposite side of the freeway to slow and look at what is happening. We obviously know what’s happened, so is there a need to slow down and observe? NO!

I have to admit I was excited to try this flavor…. then “it” happened. I opened the lid and the first thing I saw was that damn Peanut Butter Cup. The memories of Peanut Butter Cup came back rushing in and all I could think was…Damn, the peanut butter cups are too big. Basically the same issue happened again. I found everything they said was in there except the Heath Bar Chunks. I am not sure where they went. I would have to say the sometimes there is a thing known as TOO MUCH! This is a prime example. You had this, that and everything else in between in this pint. Everything stood out, but not for the good reasons.

I won’t say it was a horrible flavor. It just wasn’t my flavor.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

This week I made the executive decision (as if any other opinion counts) to make this weeks flavor simple and not over board extreme. After last weeks misstep I needed to resort to something more familiar. And I feel like I accomplished that this week.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Verdict:

As a child my siblings and I would always fight over the beaters after my mom would make cookies…. and with there being so many of us you had to be creative to get that damn beater. I am sure I ate more cookie dough in my lifetime to cause all types of salmonella. But look, I’m still alive.

Vanilla Ice Cream with Gobs of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

I feel as my readers I have to be honest with you all…so here I go. We didn’t even use bowls this week while eating the ice cream. Veronica and I stood around her desk and ate right out of the carton because it’s been on of the days, weeks, and months. Got to love tax season. We grabbed our spoons and went to town. It hit all the right spots.

I know what you’re all thinking…it’s just chocolate chip cookie dough! But honestly, it’s the best CCCD I have ever had. I am not sure if it is the fair trade practices Ben & Jerry’s prides itself in, but the vanilla ice cream is so smooth and refreshing. The cookie dough tasted as if it just came off the beaters that I use to eat as a child. This was the PERFECT flavor for this week…simple, refreshing and well needed.

All I can say is….seconds?

This morning as I was getting ready to leave Janna tells me: Don’t forget your Ben & Jerry’s because it’s been taunting me in the freezer for a few weeks. Lol. So I have FINALLY remembered to bring the forgotten pint in the freezer.

Berry Voluntary Verdict:

Do I have memories of Raspberries that I can make a story out of? NO! What about white chocolate? NO! But I will now have a memory of these two…. and sadly not all memories are great.

Raspberry Cheesecake Ice Cream with White Chocolatey Chunks &Raspberry Swirls

This is luckily a Volunteer flavor and is only carried at Target. I know why they cut it out and hid it in the Target freezer section. IT WAS BLAH! The mix of it all just didn’t do it for me. I can’t wait to just take it home and let it get frostbite in the freezer. The white chocolatey chunks were TOO big and the raspberry swirls we just ehh. I can’t ever describe this flavor because it was a total mess. My recommendation: NEVER produce this flavor EVER again. If you ever see it in your freezer section at Target just look at it like you would a gypsy on the streets of Italy and walk right on by.

If I recall correctly I think this is the FRIST ever 1 star flavor.

Milk & Cookies Verdict:

I think EVERY child had a memory of milk and cookies…. And if you don’t, you obviously missed out on a fundamental part of childhood. I remember always dunking Chips Ahoy in my milk and trying to get it to that perfect mix of cookie and milk. I like it when the cookie was soft, but not where it would break off and fall into your milk. It took a long time, but I finally mastered the art of cookie dunking.

Vanilla Ice Cream with a Chocolate Cookie Swirl, Chocolate Chip & Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

LOVE, LOVE , LOVE! Ok, so if you like Cookies N’ Cream you’ll love this flavor, it’s like Cookies N’ Cream on steroids. I L-O-V-E Cookies N’ Cream, it’s my favorite ice cream. But let’s make this clear… Ice cream and Gelato are two DIFFERENT things. Gelato CAN’T be beat. Ok back to Milk & Cookies, the reason I say steroids is because you have the chocolate chip cookie in the mix. It reminded me of the texture of the Chips Ahoy I use to dunk when I was a kid. We can also call this a hybrid of Cookies N’ Cream because even though it’s VERY similar, it’s still has it’s own identity. And true to the name, I actually tasted the milk. I am going to have seconds right now.

GO GET THIS FLAVOR! You won’t be disappointed.

This morning I realized I could be like a hooker…. I literally have a flavor of the week, every week. But at least Ben & Jerry are WAY less complicated than any man I know. And taste way better….

Red Velvet Cake Verdict:

The first time I remember having red velvet cake was a few years ago at my friend’s sisters wedding. The moment I had it I was HOOKED! Then my other friend Roni started making red velvet ding-dongs…. OMG is all I can say. So FREAKING amazing. Followed by the red velvet pizzookie at BJ’s now. Ok, so I stalk red velvet cake…get over it.

Red Velvet Cake Batter Ice Cream with Red Velvet Cake Pieces & a Cream Cheese Frosting Swirl

So I was honestly anticipating this flavor for the last week…. I think I was expecting more than they had to offer. The cake batter part of the ice cream over took the entire flavor. I love cake batter ice cream and all, but I was hoping for more of the red velvet flavor to kick in. But to give them credit I did taste EVERY part of the description they gave on the carton in every bite. The red velvet pieces were placed evenly through the ice cream and the cream cheese frosting swirl was pretty damn dominant in each bite as well. Even though I enjoyed this pint, I won’t be jumping on it like I would a piece of red velvet cake. Oh, and the ice cream scooped sooooo smoothly. We all know how I like ice cream that scoops nicely.

Now where are my real red velvet cakes?????
